Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Vishesh Mahajan today led a crucial meeting to discuss and facilitate the seamless implementation of the PM Vishwakarma Scheme, aimed at empowering traditional artisans. GM DIC, Mohammad Anwar Banday, provided insights into the scheme’s objectives, while Ankur Sharma, FM, delivered a comprehensive presentation. DDC Mahajan underscored the initiative’s significance in supporting artisans, emphasizing the active involvement of PRI members in beneficiary enrollment. He stressed the need for extensive implementation across municipalities and panchayats, emphasizing the role of awareness campaigns.
Affirming the commitment to effective implementation, Mahajan highlighted the distribution of pamphlets for maximum beneficiary participation. Sensitization and awareness camps were also stressed to ensure eligible artisans are well-informed about the scheme’s transformative benefits.
The meeting, attended by key officers including ADDC Jyoti Slathia, ACP Pardeep Kumar, PO ICDS, Anwar Banday and Deputy Registrar Cooperative Societies Bhawani Attri showcased the district’s dedication to uplifting the lives of artisans through this impactful scheme.
