BMS demands enquiry in EPFO and ESIC working in J&K

BMS state president Ashfaq Ahmed Chohan has alleged in press conference that the functioning of EPFO and ESIC which is being run by the central Govt is very poor and just for media publicity programmes are organized but in practical no new coverage is being done despite written in complaints /information, no action is taken on the complaints filed under section 7-A nor any response is given regarding the complaints, the workers those who have applied for PF withdrawal months ago even after passing more than 6 months their PF is not approved further the Joint declaration forms laying kept pending with the office despite repeated requests made by the subscribers no any justified reply is given and the workers faced too much problem those who left the services before 2019 and or those who have no good relation with the employers or units closed down and compelled by the EPFO office to get KYC and exit from such employers there should be some other remedy, it is also alleged pension amount portion is deducted nor any justification is given to workers.
It is also demanded that district level EPFO desk office must be open for the assistance of subscribers otherwise they have to travel hundreds of KM just submit their form in state EPFO office
While addressing the media Harbans Choudhary working President BMS also alleged that same is the position of ESIC as no any statuary meeting ESI Regional Board meeting, Hospital Development committee or local committee has been called from the last more than 4 years in which employers and employees representatives high light the problems of I.P,s that on the other hand poor workers medical reimbursement claim worth more than five crores are laying pending from the last 3-4 years and there is no any medicines available in the ESI dispensaries from the last more than one year and employees deputed there are also without salary from the last more than 6 months no any action is being taken seriously it is pertinent to mention here that Jammu Kashmir Employees State insurance society JKESIS is run by the state Govt. and even its chairman is Chief Secretary but no one in the govt take poor workers problems seriously and further new diseases has came in the shape of GEM launched by the central Govt. and the workers those who work through placement agencies or contractors in Govt. departments are being given less than minimum wages and those who protest against reducing the wages are thrown out.
BMS General Secretary Neelam Sharma appealed to Honble LG Manoj sinha for to conduct employment survey in the Industries as well as particularly Road projects just to see the deployment of locals in employment as hardily 10 to 15 % locals manpower are taken in the employment whereas hundreds of crores are given on the name of incentives to industries said.
