B2V5 activities conclude in all 143 panchayats of Ramban district

The activities under government’s ambitious ‘Back to Village’ phase V (B2V5) program successfully concluded in all 143 panchayats of the district Ramban.
The programme witnessed huge public participation across all areas reflecting the success of the programme and high expectations of the people from the UT of J&K and District Administration in bringing a positive change in their life by fostering progress, development, and prosperity in the region.
The visiting officers (VOs) including Commissioner Secretary, GAD, Sanjeev Verma, Commissioner Secretary, Cooperatives Department, Yasha Mudgal, Director Archives, Archaeology and Museums J&K, Pardeep Kumar, PCCF/Director Social Forestry, Roshan Jaggi, Director Handicrafts and Handlooms Kashmir, Mehmood Ahmed Shah, Director Social Welfare Kashmir, Shafiq Chak, Additional Secretary Forest, Ecology & Environment, Dhananter Singh, Chief Conservator of Forest, Eco-tourism, Shally Ranjan along with supporting staff and field functionaries of the line departments listened to villagers participating in the Gram Sabhas and prepared the Gram Panchayat Development Plans.
The Prabhari Officers also spread awareness and ensured the saturation of all the government schemes. The VOs exhorted the penetration of online services in the rural population to expedite the public services delivery in a transparent manner.
During a two day visit to panchayats, the VOs inspected different Government institutions viz. Schools, Anganwadi Centres, Ration depots, Health institutions, Panchayat Ghars etc. They also visited the sites of ongoing and completed works under MGNREGA, Capex Budget, PMAY, SBM, and other such schemes.
Interaction meetings with the general public especially, youth, awareness on Self-Employment schemes, Feedback on welfare schemes, services delivery, and the punctuality of officials in the villages was reviewed by the visiting officers.
The senior officers from the District Administration also visited various panchayats during the B2V5 across the district.
The resource persons of various departments also educated the public about scores of welfare schemes and programmes being implemented in the district and motivated them to avail the benefits of the same.
The Visiting Officers noted public demands and special attention was laid to address the grievances of villagers, especially that of women as well as youth. The Government-Public interface programme was focused on Nasha Mukt, Bhrashtachar Mukt, as well as development oriented programmes.
The frontline officers and officials of different departments participated in B2V5 and worked in coordination with Visiting Officers, PRIs and the general public, besides highlighting the programmes and achievements of their respective departments.
