Today 13 passengers were injured in a road accident in the Malad area of Udhampur district located on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway. All the injured have been admitted to Udhampur district hospital for treatment. Two of the injured are residents of Uttar Pradesh.
According to the information, Tata Winger bearing registration number JK06-6137 was travelling from Jammu to Kashmir Valley carrying passengers. However, in the Malad area of Udhampur, a dumper with registration number JK02CS-1872 coming from the front at high speed hit the Tata Winger directly.
Due to this, 13 passengers aboard the winger were injured. Soon after this accident, Udhampur police also reached the spot. The injured were immediately admitted to the Udhampur district hospital for treatment. Police have registered a case in this regard and started further action.
