Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (JPDCL) Gangyal, under the directions of Managing Director Shiv Anant Tayal, led by PD Singh Executive Engineer, Electric Division-II, Gandhi Nagar and AEE, Gangyal Nitin Mahajan, carried out a drive to disconnect connections of willful defaulters of PDD having huge pending arrears. During the drive, big Industrial establishments various commercial and domestic connections with huge pending arrears were disconnected.
The Power of MG Industries at Bari Brahmana, Stone crusher at Chattha, domestic and commercial consumers at Nai Basti, Raipur Satwari, Satwari, Jawahar Nagar, Rampura, Chowadi, Preet Nagar, Bandhu Rakh, Kunwani, among many others, was disconnected during the drive.
As per the official spokesman, in continuation to daily disconnection drive, the Enforcement Team headed by Executive Engineer along with Assistant Executive Engineer, Assistant Engineer, Feeder Managers and other field staff conducted inspections in different sections of Electric Sub Division Gangyal and apprised the consumers that the consumers having huge pending arrears should clear their pending dues at an earliest as revenue realisation is very important to provide good quality power to people. The readings of more than 20 industrial units were randomly checked to stop Power theft.
Some of the big Industrial houses also have huge pending arrears, and strict action shall be taken against those who fail to clear their dues in the next few days. Moreover, owners of the Industries were sensitised towards paying electricity bills regularly to reduce the power deficit.
Those who participated in the drive include PD Singh, Executive Engineer, Nitin Mahajan, Assistant Executive Engineer, Assistant Engineer Rajesh Kumar, Junior Engineer Hiteshwar Sood, Amit Gupta, Parvinder Kaur, Meter Readers Sarvinder Singh, Darshan Kumar, Rohit Kumar, Gautam Kumar, among others.
