J&K’s GDP to be double in the next five years: Chief Secretary Arun Kumar Mehta

In his address, Jammu and Kashmir State Chief Secretary Arun Kumar Mehta said that this is a historic moment for the state. He said that a lot has changed in Jammu and Kashmir after 2019. Despite the corona epidemic in Jammu and Kashmir, the JDP growth rate remained positive. He said that Jammu and Kashmir’s economy is excellent compared to other states and territories.

Electricity is available to 100 per cent of people in Jammu and Kashmir. Most of the villages are connected by roads. Water will reach every household by the year 2022. Electricity, water and roads are essential for real estate, and all these three things are present in Jammu and Kashmir. It used to take 12 hours to go from Jammu to Srinagar; now, this distance is covered in five hours. There has been improvement in the airport of Jammu and Kashmir. International flights have started from Srinagar.

Changes are constantly taking place in Jammu and Kashmir. The air and water in the state are clean, so Jammu and Kashmir are the best investment. There will be a single-window system in Jammu and Kashmir for investment. Registration for investment will be done digitally. The GDP of Jammu and Kashmir will double in the next five years.
