Admin Declares Another Micro-containment Zone, 10th in District

In view of the increasing cases of corona infection, the process of creating micro containment zones by the district administration continued on Wednesday. District Commissioner Jammu issued an order declaring the area adjoining the fire station, Roop Nagar, as a micro-containment zone. Earlier on Tuesday, three new micro-containment zones were created in the district.

Restrictions like lockdown are being imposed in the Micro Containment Zone. The police are stopping the movement of people by fencing in the areas declared micro containment zones. Corona test will be mandatory for all the people living in these micro-containment zones. Accordingly, health teams will be sent to these areas, which will conduct corona tests of people on the spot. On Tuesday, in addition to Sector number two of Vinayak Nagar, Gulab Colony near Sultana Masjid in Bathindi and Sector 4 of Chhani Himmat were declared as micro containment zones.

The number of micro-containment zones in the Jammu district has now reached ten. On Saturday, Gol Gujral and Rajendra Bazar Bantalab were made micro containment zones. Last week itself, Buta Nagar Paloura’s street number five, Tawi Vihar Sidra’s street number 28, Chhani Rama’s street number one and Saraswati Vihar area were made micro-containment zones in Jammu. The district administration has given strict instructions to the Health Department, Police Department to get the corona rules followed in public places. Make more and more people aware of the corona epidemic to be controlled in time.
