National Conference President Dr Farooq Abdullah raised questions on the intention of the Central Government to postpone instead of bringing the report of the Delimitation Commission. He said that the government does not want to hold assembly elections. Due to which the delimitation report is being postponed time and again. People are fed up with Lt Governor’s rule and bureaucracy. Bureaucracy, dictatorship is not proper for democracy. He has also been kept in the Delimitation Committee, but the committee has not spoken to him to date. They have not been taken into confidence in anything. However, according to the information, the report is ready. It was to be implemented by 6 March 2022, but it is being postponed again and again.
Addressing a day-long J&K National Conference OBC Cell at Sher-e-Kashmir Bhawan, Dr Farooq Abdullah said that he was neither invited nor shown any preliminary report being a member of the commission.
