Rajouri Businessman dies in Himachal Police custody, Order for Magisterial Inquiry

An accused died in the custody of Himachal Police, who was taking a cloth trader from Nowshera in Rajouri to Kullu for money transactions. It is being told that on Tuesday, in Supwal of Samba, the police had stopped to eat food at the Dhaba along with the cloth merchant. During this, the accused consumed some substance, due to which he died. Additional District Deputy Commissioner Samba Suram Chand Sharma has issued an order for a magisterial inquiry and sought a report in a week.

According to police sources, Raj Kumar, resident of Seri, Tehsil Nowshera Rajouri, was a cloth merchant. The police were investigating the case in Kullu, Himachal Pradesh, regarding the transaction of money. In this connection, the team headed by the ASI of Kullu police station was taking away the cloth merchant from Nowshera.
