SRINAGAR: Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Mohammad Aijaz Asad on Thursday warned of legal action against people hiding their international travel history at the Srinagar airport amid the emergence of new virus variant Omicron.
Talking to the media this morning, Aijaz said that international travelers or domestic travelers who have had a travel history in the last two weeks if found to have hidden their travel history will face legal action and fined Rs 20,000. The DC Srinagar further said that the recent resurgence in cases has been due to lowering of guard among the people.
“If a lockdown like the ones we have been compelled to impose in the recent past, has to be prevented, we need to follow COVID Appropriate Behavior, ” he added.
