Three corporators of the Jammu Municipal Corporation staged a sit-in protest by closing the gate of the corporation premises in protest against the action taken by the Municipal Corporation against the shopkeepers. During this demonstration, corporator Gaurav Chopra and corporator Amit Gupta raised slogans against corporation officials, corporation commissioner, the mayor and deputy mayor.
During this, the corporators said that the way Jammu Municipal Corporation is destroying shops these days. They are harassing them by putting yellow lines in front of the shops and continuously intimidating the shopkeepers by calling the shops illegal in the city; they oppose it. Because if these shops are unlawful, then why action was not taken against them at that time. The Jammu Municipal Corporation should take action against the officers who were there then. But, now that these shopkeepers have been running shops for years, the Jammu Municipal Corporation blows yellow claws on them and causes a loss of lakhs.
He said that seeing all this, why the Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Jammu Municipal Corporation are silent, why this action is not being stopped. If there is nothing in their bus, they should resign from their posts, and BJP President Ravindra Raina should answer to the people of Jammu whether the people of Jammu have this excellent day, do the people of Jammu vote for these good days? BJP took it. He said that the corporation corporators would not accept this hooliganism of the corporation under any circumstances, and to end it, it is necessary to have a house of the corporation, which the mayor is not deliberately imposing.
