Jammu Dengue outbreak: 1247 cases reported

Jammu has reported 1247 cases of dengue, with the majority of 734 cases recorded in urban residential areas, prompting authorities to intensify preventive measures to contain the menace.

Two hundred twenty-nine dengue cases have been logged in Kathua, 98 cases in Samba, and 89 dengue cases in Udhampur, marking them the highest after Jammu.

As per reports, the malariology department is making all efforts as per the guidelines to control the spread of dengue. Unfortunately, however, the number is increasing with each passing day.

Jammu Municipal Corporation is coordinating with other concerned agencies to conduct fogging operations in the infected residential areas like Bhagwati Nagar, Sarwal, New Plot, Reshamghar Colony, etc.

About 155 beds for dengue patients have been made available in Government Medical College and Hospital Jammu. However, people must take precautions and follow all the safety measures to control the spread of dengue.
