Jammu & Kashmir Lieutenant Governor on Tuesday delegated his financial powers to accord administrative approval in favour of the officers of Rural Development Department (RDD) to the extent of Rs 2 lakhs to Rs 15 lakhs.
The delegation has been made in exercise of the powers conferred under section 67 of Jammu and Kashmir Reorganization Act, 2019.
Financial Commissioner (Additional Chief Secretary) Finance department Atal Dulloo, in a notification, stated that following delegation of powers, the Additional District Development Commissioner can accord administrative approval to the works to the extent of Rs 15 lakhs.
Assistant Commissioner Development will be authorised to accord administrative approval to the works up to Rs 10 lakhs. Similarly District Panchayat Officer and Block Development Officer can accord administrative approval to the works to the extent of Rs 5 lakhs and Rs 2 lakhs respectively.
However, the administrative approval will be subject to the condition that work has been approved in Capex or revenue component of budget and funds are available.
