Cold conditions prevail in Kashmir, sub-zero temperature in Gulmarg, Pahalgam

SRINAGAR: With overnight fresh light rainfall in some parts, cold conditions continued across Kashmir valley with famous resorts of Pahalgam and Gulmarg recording sub-zero temperatures last night, officials said on Wednesday.

A meteorological department official said that Srinagar recorded minimum temperature of 4.2°C against 7.4°C on previous night. The summer capital had “traces” of rainfall last night, the official said. The temperatures have fallen considerably after record rainfall and snowfall in some plains and upper reaches.

The MeT office has forecast mainly dry weather over Jammu and Kashmir divisions till November 2.
