Home Minister Amit Shah’s arrival in Jammu and Kashmir has created excitement among all the locals. But, while everyone tried to attempt his speech in Jammu today, two Gorkhalis felt resented by an action of the security team.

They wanted to present a ‘Khukuri’ – the symbol of bravery in Gorkhali culture to the Home Minister as a memorandum; however, they were stopped by the security guards calling it a ‘weapon’.

“We are here to represent Gorkha Samaj and give a Khukuri as a token of love to Amit Shah Ji. Calling it a weapon is disrespect for us since it’s our bravery symbol.” said a person

“The security’s behaviour hurt our sentiments. It was our love that we wanted to represent. We’ve been misunderstood, and we can’t help it.” added another.
