SRINAGAR: Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Bipin Rawat on Tuesday visited areas along Line of Control in Kupwara sector and reviewed operational preparedness of Indian Army. On third day of his ongoing visit to J&K, General Rawat visited Vajr Division in Gurez, Kupwara sector.
He reviewed the prevailing security situation and operational preparedness of the Army along the border. The Chief of Defence Staff interacted with Army Commanders and discussed working of Security Grid in the area, particularly along the Line of Control. He instructed the Commanders to ensure high vigil along the border in view of the prevailing security scenario.
The CDS also interacted with the troops and exhorted them to remain steadfast in their task of defending the Nation. He praised their high morale and alertness under every situation.
