On Tuesday, J&K Bank’s e-banking application M-pay became non-functional, and even after 24 hours, the application hasn’t been restored. Yesterday late evening, the bank stated that the app would be fixed in half an hour, but even after 24 hours, the app wasn’t fixed. As a result, people struggled to purchase items for Eid.
A large crowd was seen at several ATMs, and at ATMs where no mass was reported were out of cash. The Central Government, during the demonetization, urged people to adopt e-banking services, but how will people in such a UT adopt such services where the UT’s bank’s app doesn’t work?
