Amid the second wave of coronavirus, maximum trains coming to Jammu were suspended, but from July 1, all the trains will resume with 50% capacity.

The decision was taken as many passengers, especially devotees coming to Katra, were facing problems. Although a few trains were resumed in May, the suspension of major trains has caused a profound impact on the businesses at Katra.

Many bus drivers also depend on these passengers as they take buses to travel to other places. As per the reports currently, 30% of buses are running on the roads. According to the bus operators, the prices of fuels have gone up, and they cannot meet their expenses with such low numbers of passengers.

Data revealed that around 2500 buses were running on the roads before lockdown, but now only 700 buses are running.
