REASI: To fight Covid pandemic and to assist Health Department & the district administration in fighting the deadly Covid pandemic, Reasi Police is enforcing SOPs and also slapping fine on the violators of Covid appropriate behavior in its jurisdiction.
Under this drive, Police booked 392 violators in a single day long exercise launched in length and breadth of Reasi through different teams constituted for the purpose and a fine of Rs 28,000 was collected. Besides this, more than 509 Police personnel along with 5774 Village Defense Committee members are already engaged in awareness drive and ‘Force Multiplier’ in the vaccination campaign in Mahore & other areas of the District Reasi for Covid protocol.
Police & VDC are actively mobilizing eligible citizens and moving them to vaccination camps. Pertinent to mention that as a part of drive against violators of Covid protocol, 6079 violators have been so far booked in punitive action by Reasi Police since April 2021.
SSP Reasi Shailender Singh said that Reasi Police is committed to make people aware about Covid SOPs and make them to follow Covid appropriate behavior in totality along with vaccination which is the only way out to fight against this deadly pandemic.
