Here are the number of people testing covid positive even after 2nd dose of covid vaccine

As per the data shared by the Indian government on Wednesday around 0.04 percent of people tested positive for Covid19 after taking a second dose of Covaxin and 0.03 per cent after taking a second dose of Covidshield.

As per the shared data, more than 2,000 tested positive after taking the first dose of either Covaxin or Covidshield, while 5,500 tested positive even after taking the second dose.

As of now the Indian government has given Emergency Use Authorization to three vaccine candidates, namely:
1) Indigenously manufactured vaccines Serum Institute of India.

2) Bharat Biotech

3) Sputnik

Presently manufactured abroad, Sputnik will eventually be manufactured in India

According to a senior government official, a fourth indigenous Covid-19 vaccine is underway and that it’s done with Phase1 and Phase 2 trials. It is being manufactured by Hyderabad based Biological E’s Ltd.
“Phase 1, phase 2 trials of Indian vaccine of Biological E have finished and they’ll soon go into phase 3. This is a very significant development as they have a capacity of 7 crore/ 70 million vaccines per month,” NITI Aayog member Dr VK Paul said today.

According to NITI Aayog member Dr, VK Paul, the 4th indigenous Covid-19 by Biological E is being seen as a significant development as the company can produce 70 million I.e. 7 crore vaccines per month.

A slew of comparative data (released by the ministry) shows that the severity, malignancy and demography of the victims in the second wave of Covid19 is the same as last year’s first wave.

Addressing a press conference, Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan said 146 districts reported COVID-19 positivity rate of more than 15 per cent, while 274 districts reported case positivity between 5 and 15 per cent.
In those below 10 years, 4.03 pc COVID-19 cases were reported in the first wave, while 2.97 pc cases registered in the second wave, it added. In the age group 10-20 years, 8.07 pc COVID-19 cases were reported in the first wave, while 8.50 pc cases were registered in the second wave. In age group 20-30 years, 20.41 pc COVID-19 cases were reported in first wave, while 19.35 pc cases registered in second wave, while in those aged 30 and above, 67.5 pc COVID-19 cases were reported in first wave, while 69.18 pc cases registered in second wave: Govt, said health ministry.
