JAMMU: Gandhi Nagar police is likely to take custody of criminal Royal Singh, who is presently in Central Jail Kot Bhalwal and is undergoing imprisonment for life, in the firing case.
As per police sources, on April 3 this year, a case was registered at Police Station Gandhi Nagar after some unknown persons opened fire on the residence of contractor Choudhary Nagar Singh.
Two persons identified as Ajay Singh and driver of Superintendent Central Jail Kot Bhawal namely Kuldeep Kumar, a resident of Tali Morh were already arrested in the firing case. However, Gandhi Nagar Police is also likely to take custody of Royal Singh, who is presently undergoing rigorous imprisonment for life in Central Jail Kot Bhawal in the much publicised Amandeep murder case.
Police sources said that Royal Singh was the main conspirator in the firing case and will be grilled to ascertain why he planned firing on contractor Nagar Singh’s residence.
