Congress leader Pankaj Dogra complained about the bad conditions of the Jammu Highways. He claimed the Government to have made fake promises about the Highway facilities.
“Jammu has become a ‘Toll Plaza city’. The Government promised to provide Ambulances services. Accidents happen on the Highway almost everyday. So many people die but no Police, no ambulance is available.” Pankaj said.
“The road conditions are poor. The railings are broken, there are road bumps and no proper system for animals. A lot of development needs to happen and if it doesn’t, Kathua residents will stop the traffic on the Highway.” He added
Pankaj not only complained about the Highway conditions but also claimed the Road Safety Week to be a ‘show-off’ program.
“I think the Road Safety Week is a program for social media hike. The Government hides its weakness through it. But we would be against the Government unless Highways Authority guidelines like washrooms, public conveyance and ambulances are provided by them.”
