CISF celebrates induction ceremony at Jammu Airport

JAMMU: Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) professionally trained force mandated to secure airports in India and is presently looking after security duties of 63 domestic/international airports in India including Srinagar and Leh.

To mark the occasion, CISE conducted ceremonial parade under Gurjeet Singh Commandant CISF to give Guard of Honour to Dr. Pravat Ranjan Beuria, Airport Director at Jammu Airport. The demonstration given by Dog Squad, ORT of CISF, Krav Maga fighting technique were the highlights of the occasion. The spectators applauded the demonstrations and felt the sense of security after seeing skillful & trained force guarding the airport. The representatives from local police, BCAS, Airport Managers of all airlines and Squadron Leader Pratish from IAF graced the occasion.

Dr. P.R Beuria, Airport Director said that the remarkable changes have come since CISF took over the security duties of the Jammu Airport. “The CISF has maintained the minimum touch concept during the COVID-19 pandemic while maintaining fine balance between security and facilitation,” he added. He further said that CISF has taken initiatives to deploy local language knowing personnel having soft skills at public interface points. A Help Desk counter is being manned at Main Entry Gate of the airport for assisting passengers requiring special needs or PWDS.

Gurjeet Singh, Commandant CISF presented vote of thanks and assured to provide best of services as per CISF vision and motto.
