Academic Council meet held, theme song of SKPA released

UDHAMPUR: The Academic Council meet of all the Police training institutions of J&K Police was held at Sher-i-Kashmir Police Academy (SKPA) here under the chairmanship of DGP Dilbag Singh.

During the meet, a number of points pertaining to the training of police officers and jawans came under discussion and decisions were taken for improvement of training infrastructure, faculty and allied issues for imparting excellent training to the police officers and jawans of J&K Police. DGP stressed for imparting quality training and assured the heads of the training institutions that their requirements of the training institutions of UT J&K will be given due consideration. During the Academic Council Meet, the theme song of Police Academy Udhampur was also approved and the audio and video of the song was released. The opening lines of the Academy song are “Police Academy Udhampur Hai JKP Ki Shaan…..Hasil Karte Yahan Tarbeeyat Afsar Aur Jawan”. The Academy theme song has been authored by Inspector (S) Ashok Kumar Sharma “Paras” presently serving in the Academy. The song has been sung by prominent singer Suresh Chauhan and music has been composed by Kuldeep Saproo, a well known artist of Jammu. The theme song demonstrates the aim and activities of the Police training being imparted to the officers and jawans in this Academy. Among others AK Choudhary, ADGP Armed J&K, SJM Gillani, ADGP Coordination PHQ J&K, AG Mir, ADGP Headquarters PHQ J&K, Dr SD Singh, ADGP Security/Director SKPA Udhampur, T. Namgyal, ADGP Traffic J&K, MK Sinha, IGP Crime, Danesh Rana, IGP Armed Jammu, Rajeshwar Singh, AIG (Pers) PHQ, Rayees Bhat, AIG (Prov and Tpt) PHQ, Mohan Lal, SSP, Assistant Director (Outdoor), Vinay Kumar, Assistant Director (Admn) and Principals of all Police Training institutes of J&K were present in the Academic Council Meet.

The meet ended with a vote of thanks to the chair by AD (Outdoor) SKPA Udhampur.
