NEW DELHI: The country’s COVID-19 recovery rate has reached 97.13 per cent. A total of 17 thousand 824 COVID patients recovered during the last 24 hours. The total number of recoveries has gone up to one crore four lakh 80 thousand and 455.
Health Ministry said, the actual caseload currently comprises only 1.44 per cent of the total positive cases. Presently, the total number of active cases in the country stands at one lakh 55 thousand 25. During the past 24 hours, 12 thousand 899 new cases were reported taking the total number of positive cases in the country to one crore seven lakh 90 thousand 183. The Ministry said, currently, India’s Case Fatality Rate is at 1.43 per cent, which is one of the lowest globally. During the last 24 hours, 107 deaths were reported taking the toll to one lakh 54 thousand 703. According to Indian Council of Medical Research, more than seven lakh 42 thousand tests were conducted during the last 24 hours.
The total number of samples tested so far has reached 19 crore 92 lakh. As far as the COVID-19 vaccination is concerned, the Health Ministry said that a total of 44 lakh 49 thousand 552 people have been administered COVID vaccine in the country so far.
