India’s COVID-19 recovery rate reaches 96.78 percent

NEW DELHI: A total number of 10,43,534 people have been administered Covid-19 vaccines in the country so far. Meanwhile, the country’s COVID-19 recovery rate reached 96.78 per cent with the total recovery of more than 18 thousand patients in the last 24 hours. 

The Health and Family Ministry informed that more than one million healthcare workers have been inoculated with Covid-19 doses within six days from the start of the vaccination drive in the country. The Ministry said that more than one crore two lakh patients have recovered in the country and the total number of active cases in the country is over one lakh 88 thousand which comprises only 1.81 per cent of the total positive cases. The Ministry informed that a total number of 14,545 new cases have been reported in the country during the last 24 hours taking the cumulative positive cases to over one crore six lakh 25 thousand. 163 deaths have also been reported taking the toll to 1,53,032 across the country.

The Indian Council of Medical Research said that various laboratories have conducted more than eight lakh tests of corona virus samples in the last 24 hours and more than 19 crore tests have been done in the country so far.
