Cyber Police Jammu works out Rs 2 lakh worth fraud

Cyber Police Station Jammu received a complaint in which complainant namely Raj Babber Singh S/o Harnam Singh R/o Deoli Tibba Bishnah reported that he was defrauded with an amount of Rs 2 lakh and he further stated that he received an email from fraudsters pretending to be employee of Royal Enfield Company and offered the complainant a dealership of Royal Enfield and in the process he was trapped and lost the amount. Taking instant cognizance of the complaint, team of Cyber Police Station Jammu dealing with financial fraud cases headed by Inspector Manoj Kumar Gupta was activated and transactions were scrutinized to find out outflow route of transactions involving complainant’s defrauded money. Scrutiny of the transactions revealed that the amount was finally credited in an account of SBI Bank branch Bijoyganj, 24 Pargnas in Bijoyganj Bazaar, West Bengal. The matter was instantly taken up with concerned SBI Branch to immediately block the transaction and refund the defrauded amount of Rs 2 lakh into the victim account. After strenuous efforts, Cyber Police Station succeded in refunding back the defrauded amount to the complainant. Cyber Police Station Jammu saved complainant’s hard earned money with instant action under the guidelines and directions of SP Naresh Singh, Incharge Cyber Police Station Jammu Zone and succeeded in refunding the amount of Rs 2 laks.
