Former State president BJP and Ex MLA Jammu West, Sat Sharma (CA) asked Jal Shakti Department to ensure daily supply of water in all 26 wards of Jammu West. He stated this while touring Vishal Nagar area of Wards 32 and 40 of Jammu West Assembly segment where he also interacted with hundreds of inhabitants of both wards. Sharma was also accompanied by district president, Munish Khajuria, corporators Sat Pal Karlupia and Neelam Nargotra, district general secretary, Advocate Rajesh Gupta and many others. Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma said that a fruitful visit was conducted in the area along with corporators of both wards and the locals have brought into his notice about the irregular supply of water and in few localities the quality of the drinking water was also not up to the mark. He said that he has spoken to concerned officials of Jal Shakti Department in this regard including Chief Engineer, Manish Bhat who has assured that regular supply will be made in all the areas of Jammu West. He stated that he has also asked the officials to prepare estimates of those areas as well where there is a dire requirement of changing decades old water pipes with new ones so that fresh drinking water could be provided to the masses. Sharma also stated that during his tenure as MLA more than 20000 new household connections were provided to the public which brought a major relief in almost every ward of Jammu West and few areas where this work was not done, will also be taken up so that every house is covered under the same. Munish Khajuria said that the efforts of former MLA has brought major reforms concerning basic amenities and the pace of development pertaining to everything in all wards of Jammu West has shown that Jammu West has progressed a lot in the last five years under the leadership of former MLA. Karlupia and Neelam complimented the former MLA for touring the area in such a short notice and stated that both wards have been equipped with modern infra and crores of rupees were spent on the recommendation in both wards to improve the overall condition which has made both wards as developed wards in Jammu West.
