The School Education Department has extended the term of incumbent Chairperson of Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education, Prof Veena Pandita, who was superannuating on April 30. According to a notification in this regard, issued today, Prof Veena Pandita has been given an extension for a period of two months only beyond her date of superannuation i. e. April 30, 2020. Pertinent to mention that on April 8, the Government had constituted a Search Committee for suggesting a panel for appointment of Chairman, J&K BOSE as the incumbent was attaining age of superannuation on April 30. The Search Committee, headed by Financial Commissioner Finance Department, is comprising of Principal Secretary, School Education Department; Secretary, Higher Education Department; Vice-Chancellor, Central University of Jammu and Vice-chancellor, University of Kashmir. The Committee had to submit the panel within 15 days.
