Four houses were partially damaged while a calf and a buffalo were killed when the Pakistan army on Friday resorted to unprovoked heavy firing and mortar shelling along the Line of Control (LoC) in Bhawani, Sher, Makri, and Numb areas of the Nowshera sector. “Pakistan initiated unprovoked ceasefire violation in the Nowshera sector at about 11.30 am and the Army has retaliated befittingly” said Lt-Col Devender Anand, PRO Defence. “Four Kachha houses in Bhawani and Makri villages were damaged partially. A revenue team headed by tehsildar is in the area to assess the losses for the relief under rules” said Sukhdev Singh Samyal. Additional DC, Nowshera.
