The employees of the GCD wing, Bemina of the power department have been left high and dry by the authorities owing to non-release of last month salary. A delegation of the employees said the salary for February has not been released so far. “The employees in the MD office and the Chief Engineer’s office have been paid on time. We have been told that the wing awaits allotment,” they said, adding the employees have been paid advance salary in some states to counter Corona threat effectively. The employees said the bundling of the department had adversely affected the functioning of the wing. “If they can’t pay the salary on time, what can happen to pension,” they said. The employees have sought intervention of Lt Governor, GC Murmu and Advisor Baseer Khan.
