A surgical proctorship workshop on laparoscopic hernia repair was conducted in the Department of Surgery at GMC Kathua. Dr. Ravinder Singh Malhotra, Director Surgical Services, Sarvhit Gastrocity Amritsar along with Dr. Darpan Bansal, Associate Professor SGRDIMSR Amritsar explained the techniques and finness of minimal access surgery. The patients were discharged next day. The workshop was inaugurated by Dr. Suleman Choudhary, Principal, GMC Kathua. He lauded the efforts of organisers and ariced faculty to continuously organise such workshops. The workshop was well attended by the Department of Surgery and Anaesthesia at GMC Kathua headed by Dr. Raj Rishi Sharma, Professor & Head and by Dr. Sanjay Kalsotra, Professor & Head respectively – Dr. Raj Rishi Sharma who was the organising chairperson presented welcome note while Dr. Ravinder Kumar, organising secretary gave away vote of thanks. Logistic support was provided by Johnson and Johnson. The CME was accredited with J&K Medical Council for four credit hours.
