Always maintain communal harmony: DGP to students
Always maintain communal harmony as you are proud part of the country known for its unity in diversity. This was advised by the Director General of Police, J&K, Dilbag Singh to the students of Poonch District on their return from Bharat Darshan Tour. The DGP, senior officers were interacting with the students in the lawns of Police Headquarters Jammu on Tuesday. ADGsP A.K Choudhary, A.G Mir, IGsP Danesh Rana, Garib Dass, DIG Telecom Nasir Ahmad, Deputy Director Prosecution S.M Kapoor, AIGs of PHQ and other senior officers of PHQ and APHQ. Welcoming the students, the DGP said that Bharat Darshan Tours are aimed to provide an opportunity to the students/youth of Jammu and Kashmir particularly those hailing from far flung areas and children with low financial resources, to know this beautiful multilingual and multicultural country. He said that these tours provide an opportunity to know the people and different lifestyles of Bharat. He advised them to share their experience with their colleagues and friends in their schools so that they will also. Referring to the ill effects of drug abuse the DGP advised them to stay away from drugs as it brings destruction in family and society. The DGP impressed upon them to focus on their studies so that they will take care of their families and society, besides will provide better services to the nation. He wished them best of luck for their future. ADGP Armed A.K Choudhary said that the aim of facilitating such tours is to provide a platform to the student to experience the various important places of the country. A group of 74 students from Poonch were on a countrywide tour for a week visiting various places of historical and cultural importance and returned back to Jammu city today. They shared their experiences about the visit to different places of various parts of the country.
