Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Narayana Superspeciality Hospital (SMVDNSH) organised a health checkup camp at Laridora in Baramulla district. A team of six specialist doctors from the hospital provided basic health camp check-up as well as superspeciality services in Neuro Sciences and Gastro Intestinal related health issues to the residents of Laridora and over 350 nearby villagers. The health check-up at the camp was provided free of cost for all and free medicines were also provided. Speaking about the initiative, Dr (Brig) Man Mohan Harjai, Chief Administrative Officer, SMVDNSH, said, “Medical health facilities in remote villages are not adequate enough for the population in this region and hence people are deprived of the basic medical facilities. With this health camp, we intended to do not just basic health check-up of the patients but also this is an opportunity for us to connect with the community and make them aware of the world class healthcare facility available at our hospital.” Commander Navneet Bali, Regional Director, SMVDNSH, said, “As a responsible institution and being in the healthcare business, we have to look at betterment of the society. In line with our social goals, we conducted the health camp to screen the health condition of the residents and guide them for proper treatment if there are any health issued identified.” On the occasion, the local heads of the Panchayat, BMO Sheeri, BDO, Tehsildar, local police, CEO of 52 RR and representatives of Guru Harkrishan Jevan Jyoth Society were also present.
