Kishtwar Police on Monday appealed to the general public to refrain from wearing Army-pattern/ or combat dresses and also advised shopkeepers not to sell combat dresses/Army uniform and like cloth, as Anti-National Elements and terrorists use such dresses to pretend themselves as security personnel in order to carryout their evil designs. “Moreover, all traders and shopkeepers interested in selling Army uniforms are advised to approach the local Police for establishing their business units in approved areas/shops only,” said the police spokesman, adding that besides the youth is exhorted to use social media to spread awareness and start a campaign to prevent misuse of Army uniform and equipment as fashion so that militants/ANEs may not take advantage of such dresses which may lead to major security lapse.
