After four days authorities on Thursday allowed stranded vehicles on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway to move towards Kashmir.
Frequent traffic snarls were witnessed on the 270-km highway from Nashri tunnel to Banihal. “Goods laden trucks and other vehicles were allowed to move towards Srinagar this morning. Though traffic moved at slow pace but the highway remained through for the entire day,” said an official. Meanwhile, residents of Ramban, Banihal and other highway towns on the National Highway said the traffic jams have become a routine affair and they are suffering.
