Leh Police interacts with stakeholders of tourism industry

Police on Monday organised a meeting with representatives from travel trade related associations here on Monday. The meeting was conducted on the directions of SSP Leh, Sargun Shukla with an objective for having a better coordination between Police and stakeholders of tourism industry. The meeting was chaired by DySP Headquarters, Ishtyaq A Kacho and Sub Inspector Tsewang Stanzin. During the meeting, detailed deliberations were done regarding various issues faced by people during tourist season. DySP Hq Leh assured the participants that District Police Leh is always committed to serve them better and their genuine issues would be resolved on priority. Moreover, it was once again reiterated that CCTV cameras should be installed in all hotels and lodges. The Dy SP urged them to cooperate with district Police by informing them about any kind of anti-social or illegal activity done by their clients. The meeting was attended by the office bearers of All Ladakh Tour Operators Association (ALTOA) including its President, Tsetan Angchuk; office bearers of Hotel Association Leh, representatives of Tempo Travel and Taxi Union Leh.
