Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) which is known for its modern fueling initiatives has added a feather to the crown of fuel business in J&K by bringing in the first COCO Petrol Pump at Ghagwal in Samba district. Spread in 2 acres and housing state of the art facilities, this fueling complex consists of separate fueling areas for trucks/buses and small vehicles apart from the food court with drive through concept. Sufficient number of clean toilets, separate for male, female and differently abled, this company owned company operated (COCO) fuel station is situated at a distance of 45 km from Jammu towards Pathankot on NH44. This 24×7 operated COCO fuel station is part of the chain of 145 One Stop Truck Shops (OSTS), also known by the name of “GHAR Outlets” spread on various National highways between North South and East West Corridors. Similar type of branding and looks attracts the cross country travelers to such fuel stations of BPCL consisting of heavy commercial vehicles and motorists. The food court area in the complex also houses lush green lawns with children play area, which makes it more customer friendly. This COCO fuel station is the only Retail Outlet in J&K, where customers using digital mode of payments are billed after exempting digital incentive i.e. customer is billed less rather than bank returning the digital incentive. Many other needs of all the segments of highway customers are taken care of with banking provisions for trucks and SMS based fueling being main attractions there. BPCL’s Executive Director (Retail), PS Ravi inaugurated this COCO outlet recently in the presence of Surjeet Mahalik, Head of Retail in Northern region amongst a large gathering of customers, locals and prominent people. Present on the occasion were Mohit Bhatia, Head of Punjab and J&K along with his entire team of officials from Chandigarh. Rajesh Sharma, Territory Manager of J&K, while speaking on the occasion, this landmark will not only change the economy of Ghagwal town but also bring the name of J&K on the COCO maps of the country. He also assured that one or the other customer experiences shall be a part of the daily curriculum at BP Ghagwal in the days to come.
